How the 4 Macros Are Brought to Page 1

By default on Zynthian, Vitalium lists hundreds of parameters alphabetically and the 4 Macros end up on Page 53. This tool solves this by generating the package with two complementary methods:

1. Lightweight LV2 Preset (.preset.lv2): Turtle preset bundle with linked zynthian_controllers.ttl file.
2. Native C++ Wrapper Plugin (_wrapper_cpp.lv2): native C++ wrapper with wrapper.cpp source, Makefile, and build.sh that forces the 4 Macros at system level directly onto Page 1 (Screen 1 / Encoders 1-4).

Contents of the Downloaded ZIP Archive

The exported ZIP archive contains the following folders ready to use:

1. 📁 <BankName>.preset.lv2

Standard Vitalium preset bank (copy to /zynthian/zynthian-my-data/presets/lv2/).

2. 📁 Vitalium_<PresetName>_wrapper_cpp.lv2

C++ Wrapper Plugin (copy to /zynthian/zynthian-plugins/lv2/ and compile with bash build.sh).

3. 📁 <BankName>_cpp.preset.lv2

Dedicated preset bank for the C++ Wrapper (copy to /zynthian/zynthian-my-data/presets/lv2/).

Commands to Copy for Compiling on Zynthian (SSH)

1. Plugin installation path on Zynthian:

/zynthian/zynthian-plugins/lv2/

2. Command to navigate and run automatic compilation:

cd /zynthian/zynthian-plugins/lv2/Vitalium_Analog_Brass_wrapper_cpp.lv2 && bash build.sh

Alternative manual g++ command:

g++ -O2 -fPIC -shared /zynthian/zynthian-plugins/lv2/Vitalium_Analog_Brass_wrapper_cpp.lv2/wrapper.cpp -o /zynthian/zynthian-plugins/lv2/Vitalium_Analog_Brass_wrapper_cpp.lv2/Vitalium_Analog_Brass.so -Wl,-z,nodelete -ldl -lpthread

The compiler generates the native .so library that dynamically links vitalium.so and places the 4 Macros on Page 1.

Refresh Preset Scan & Restart UI

1. Open Zynthian Webconf (http://zynthian.local).
2. Go to SOFTWARE → LV2-Plugins and click "Search for new Plugins & Presets".
3. Click Restart UI (or restart Zynthian from the menu) to register the new synth engine.
4. You will find the synth engine "Vitalium (<PresetName>)" ready to play with all 4 Macros assigned to the 4 physical encoders on Page 1!
